Part Number: 0900-53 Q: I just purchased a PowerPort charger and the lights indicate one or more of the batteries are no good. What should I do? A: Sometimes during extended storage, such as before purchase or during long periods of non-use, the batteries can discharge to a level that makes the charger "think" they are no good. In fact though, they are OK, they just need to be "conditioned" before charging. Any batteries that are indicated as no good by the upper compartment indicator lights should be transfered to the lower compartment and charged in the lower compartment for at least 24 hours. Be sure to have four batteries in the lower compartment since it can not charge batteries individually. The lower compartment charges at a slower rate than the upper compartment and conditions the batteries to a state where they can then be fast-charged in the upper compartment. |
