American Gardener brand of cordless and electric Lawn and Garden tools was acquired in 1998 by Original Power. American Gardener products have been produced since 1969 and have a rich history of product innovation – in fact, American Gardener created the cordless outdoor power equipment category with its invention of the cordless electric grass shear over 30 years ago. We continue to add to the American Gardener legacy of innovation. We introduced the world’s first  24 volt powered cordless garden tools, created the first combination grass shear/shrub clipper tool, and have developed a complete line of interchangeable battery pack tools. Our products are sold at most major retailers under our brand or via private label brands.
